My final blog posting?

Posted By Administration, Thursday, April 18, 2013

Dear CEdMA Member:

I cannot remember a more exciting time in the history of our great organization!

We've completed the launch of a brand new social and collaborative web site that for me embodies what CEdMA is all about - networking with your peers, sharing your expertise, and learning from the expertise of your peers. If you haven't yet logged in to see all that our new website provides - don't wait - log in today (your current userid and password are still valid) and start to explore all of the new opportunities to connect with your peers and collaborate - from special interest groups to familiar social "wall postings" - I am confident you will have fun and get much more value from this new utility - don't be shy - tell us what you think - now you can even "comment on" and "rate" my blog postings (please be kind :)) There's even a video tour available to help you explore the new capabilities.

We're ready to host more than 50 CEdMA members at our Spring Conference at Microsoft in Mountain View - with our first keynote presentation (Cushing Anderson, IDC, Program Vice President Consulting, System Integration, HR and Learning Services) in years and our expanded vendor pavilion - where our members can interact with many prominent training services providers. And of course, all the incredible member-selected and member-presented sessions where the best practices in our industry are often shared, dissected, and analyzed over the course of two very full days. It's not too late to join us! You can still enroll and attend in person or attend remotely over the internet (we've invested thousands of dollars to ensure it's a positive experience either way). Look for your invite in your inbox or contact Lynn Viduya (our West Coast Conference Trustee) if you need a fresh invitation.

And we're ready to hand the reigns of CEdMA over to our brand new President - long time board member Jesse Finn (Sr. Director at Oracle) along with several returning board members and some new board members (Tom Kimmel (Kronos), Liz Burns (Juniper Networks), and Patricia McGray (Esri)) who will inspire fresh thinking and help Jesse drive the organization forward in ways that will continue to drive value back to you - our members.

Please join me in saying welcome to our newly elected CEdMA board of trustees one more time as they take office officially one week from today (April 24th).

Thank you all for the pleasure leading you over the last 4 incredible years - I have never been prouder of the work we've done together and more hopeful for the future of CEdMA. Although, I won't be in a leadership role, you can bet I will still be an active member of this fantastic organization.

All the best,
